A fresh take on a Mozart favorite, thanks to a trio of young stars hand picked by COT General Director Brian Dickie. Last seen in Chicago 20 years ago, the opera is a story of passion, revenge, and forgiveness-the perfect subjects for virtuoso arias, as Mozart well knew. Jane Glover, one of the world's most revered Mozart interpreters, conducts her eighth opera for Chicago Opera Theater. And director Christopher Alden, who has staged ground-breaking productions in every major opera house around the globe, makes his Chicago Opera Theater debut. Sung in Italian with English subtitles.
