Chicago Marathon October 7, 2007

The Race will begin in Grant Park near the Petrillo Music Shell. The course will close at a graduated pace, allowing runners to complete each mile in approximately 14 minutes. Runners who have not completed the course within 6-1/2 hours based on clock time (by 2:30 p.m.) will be required to use sidewalks adjacent to the course and to obey all traffic signals and signs.

For safety reasons, please adhere to the following: no pets, no strollers, no baby joggers, no bikes, no in-line skates and no wheeled vehicles (except registered wheelchairs). Violators will be disqualified and removed from the course by a Race Official.

Aid Station transportation back to the Finish Area will be provided for runners unable to complete the Marathon. Runner follow-up buses or vans will be available near course Aid Stations. Please ask medical staff volunteers for specific staging locations. Buses and vans will be shuttling to the Finish Line based on vehicle capacity. Remember to turn in your Black ChampionChip when you board the bus. The Finish Line is in Grant Park on Columbus Drive between Balbo Drive and Roosevelt Road. The Finish Area facilities will officially close at 3 p.m.
