Duke Ellington's 'Sacred Concert' takes center stage. The Jazz maestro called his 'Sacred Concerts' the most important works he'd ever written. These works, composed between 1965 and 1973, combine elements of Jazz, European classical, choral music, blues, dance, spirituals and gospel. Faddis leads The CJE, joined by a full gospel choir, under the direction of Chip Johnson, featuring The CJE vocalist Bobbi Wilsyn with special guest vocalists Maggie Brown and Paris Delane. Tap dancer Bill Barrett also joins the Ensemble for an evening of extraordinary entertainment.
