Chicago Artist Nick Haas Presents “Re-Imagining the Urban Landscape through Digital Collage Art” June 9, 2009

Chicago-based photographer and graphic artist Nick Haas offers an inside look at digital photography collage using his own Chicago collection as examples. Photography is often viewed as a finished product or the end of a process. Haas’s presentation will demonstrate the use of photography as part of a larger process -- as a launch pad for greater visual exploration. Haas will demonstrate his process from photographing the urban landscape to collaging photos together. As examples, he'll show his graphic art pieces depicting the Chicago cityscape, as well as video he contributed to the upcoming film Ball Don't Lie (released June 5th). He'll offer tips and techniques on digital photography, photo collage, Adobe Photoshop and iPhoto. This free seminar offers attendees a great opportunity to see a successful artist discuss the specifics of his process.
