Sarah Radford, CEO and jewelry designer of Chic Gems Couture, will be hosting an online trunk show to benefit The V Foundation (www.jimmyv.org ) through this May.

Sarah has specially designed a beautiful black Czech crystal and hope charm bracelet (http://www.chicgemsetc.com/products/bracelets/prod294.php) in memory of Renee Chiopelas who lost her battle with cancer in January, of which 20% of the proceeds will benefit the Foundation. The black color of the bracelet is symbolic of melanoma awareness and May is National Melanoma/Skin Cancer Awareness month. Visit Chic Gems Couture (www.ChicGemsCouture.com) and enter the code RENEE while checking out to receive 10% off and donate 20% of your total purchase to the Foundation. The online trunk show will last until May 31, 2010.

The V Foundation started with the dream of Jim Valvano, the passionate and committed former NC State basketball coach and award-winning broadcaster, as he battled cancer. Wanting to see the battle through to victory, Valvano recruited friends and family to lead the V Foundation in his quest to eradicate the disease that ultimately claimed his life. The V Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to saving lives by helping to find a cure for cancer. The Foundation seeks to make a difference by generating broad-based support for cancer research and by creating an urgent awareness among all Americans of the importance of the war against cancer. The V Foundation performs these dual roles through advocacy, education, fundraising, and philanthropy.
