All proceeds benefit Trips for Kids Metro DC, a non-profit 501c(3) children?s health organization that provides at-risk youth in the Metropolitan Washington, DC-area with important life lessons through fun and educational mountain bike excursions into Virginia, Maryland and DC parks and nature areas. We strive to combat daily stressors through challenging but safe mountain bike trips and provide discussions on the importance of the environment and living a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing physical fitness and nutrition. Our simple but effective program design has proven to be wildly successful. We have created over 1,000 mentoring opportunities with hundreds of at-risk youth and have been recognized as one of the finest small non-profits in the DC area by The Catalogue for Philanthropy.
