In this comic mash-up of neuroscience and surrealism, Pig Iron translates the absurdities of human nature into a series of highly physical vignettes. Part laboratory, part vaudeville theater, 'Chekhov Lizardbrain' pulls inspiration from doctor/playwright Anton Chekhov and the "Three Brain" theory of Paul D. MacLean to peel back the layers of the human mind. The four performers careen among trancelike dances, perception experiments, and full-throttle hilarity. Are we in charge of our own private rituals? Or could it be the lizardbrain, pulsing secretly in the deepest reaches of the mind?
