Chef's Table events are an ideal way to explore Chicago's culinary scene without spending a fortune. This month's Chef's Table is visiting La Taberna Tapas. This new restaurant has already received rave reviews and is redefining tapas in Chicago. Restaurant critic Pat Bruno "was really taken by this place", calling it "an oasis of tranquillity and civility, a sharp addition not only to the dining scene in the South Loop but to lovers of tapas".

Here's what we'll be sampling:

Pan con Tomate.- Herbed crostinis topped with shaved tomato, Serrano ham and manchego cheese.

Pinchos de pollo.- chicken breast marinated with garlic, rosemary and olive oil.

Saffron rice, chicken, eggplant, artichoke, zucchini, roasted peppers and mushrooms.

While enjoying these delicious bites we'll be sipping on sangria - two different types!
