Sameer is Sneha’s tutor and over time he falls in love with her. Sneha''s father, Chhabildas Sheth thinks that Sameer''s family is too middle-class for his only child. But Sameer and Sneha are young and love each other. They defy their families and get married. Sneha gives birth to twin daughters- Chini and Mini. One day they discover that Chini has Thalassaemia Major- a genetic disorder that requires frequent blood transfusions and considerable expense from time to time. There is no known cure. The play deals with this middle-class family''s race against time to save the life of their child. First they are too proud to seek the help of their parents. Soon they are willing to beg and do anything to save their child''s life. They are about to seek forgivness from Chhabildas Sheth but they find out that he is no more and that he has donated his entire wealth to a trust. Finally, they have to deal with an unwelcome choice: EITHER live with the child and watch her die or give her up for adoption so that she may live. This is the drama of a family in a state of crisis.
