Last year a newly discovered first edition of Jane Austen's 'Emma' dedicated to the author's great friend Anne Sharp, was sold at Bonhams for £180,000. Have you looked in your attic recently or sorted through your book shelves? Imagine what you might find!
Experts from Bonham will be there to value books, silver, boxes, porcelain, portrait miniatures, silhouettes, musical instruments, objets d'art and any other antique items brought in by members of the public. They will also advise from photographs of furniture. Special Valuation Certificates will be given for each item assessed on the day.
The valuations take place in a marquee in the grounds, with complimentary wine and fruit punch included in the price (which also includes the house tours). Tea, coffee, cake and light lunches will be available to purchase in the Old Kitchen.
