My Arm Is Up in the Air began as a joke about the typical press photography for solo shows and then morphed into a satire of modern language. Four distinct sections, including a funeral service for Capitalism and a send-up of a graduation speech, are layered with video and songs accompanied by hammered dulcimer, autoharp and bowed psaltery.
