Charles Mauro Lecture and Book Signing May 9, 2007

Charles Mauro, noted local historian, writer and movie producer, will tell stories from his latest book "The Civil War in Fairfax County: Civilians and Soldiers". Mr. Mauro draws on files from the Southern Claims Commission to tell how locals lived and struggled during four years of chaotic war and devastation. The book is a fascinating and enlightening account of how local county people survived these difficult years. Mr. Mauro is a gifted lecturer and will be available for book signing.
