Charles Ives Celebration May 17, 2009

Featured on the program are Ives' Violin Sonatas Nos. 2 and 4, featuring violinist Marilyn Dubow and pianist Mimi Stern-Wolfe, piano. Selected songs include 'The Cage' (1906) and 'Two Little Flowers' (1921), performed by soprano Mary Hurlbut and flutist Andrew Bolotowsky. Labyrinth Dance Theater will appear as a guest on the program, performing director/choreographer Sasha Spielvogel's 'No Way Out But Through,' performed to a commissioned score by composer David Majzlin, inspired by Charles Ives and scored for soprano, flute, violin, cello and piano.
