Charles Bartlett's Visions of India November 17, 2009

Growing up at a time when much of South Asia was part of the British Empire, Bartlett developed an interest in India. He spent several months there as part of a long trip around the world that began in 1913. He filled his sketchbooks with drawings of India's historical monuments and people, returning again and again to these subjects for the rest of his life.
