Charity Race Night @ The Ferriby Social Club June 29, 2012

We are holding a charity race night to raise funds for the Royal British Legion & Help for Heroes. The event will be held on Friday 29th June 2012 from 8pm. This is to fall in line with National Armed Forces Day on Saturday 30th June 2012.

One of our member’s sons has recently been deployed to Afganistan to serve on the front line and we wanted to support not just him but other heroes from the UK. We have selected 2 charities to raise funds for that are both close to our hearts.

Admission on the night is free.

We will have 9 races in total with 8 horses in each. You can bet on as many horses as you so wish, each bet costs £1. We will pay 50% of the race takings to the winning ticket holders. The remaining 50% will go to our charities. On the 9th race we will be holding an auction. This is to become a horse owner for the race. 50% of the taking will be paid to the winning horse owner (s). You can still bet as normal for just £1.

Also we will be holding a raffle. We have a star prize of a P&O Mini Cruise to be won to either Bruges in Belgium or Rotterdam in the Netherlands for 2 people. Included are bus transfers.
The cruise is from the port of Hull.

Tickets just £1.

After the racing entertainment has finished we will have a small disco for you to enjoy.

We have fantastic drinks prices all night long, so this event is not to be missed.
