Charity Happy Hour at Pasha December 11, 2008

Come join us for our monthly Happy Hour as we support the Avon Breast Cancer Foundation. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in the US. There is a new diagnosis every 3 minutes and a life lost every 14 minutes. In response to this, the Avon Breast Cancer Foundation was created, and for over a decade has raised funds and awareness for advancing access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer.

We'll have a representative of the Foundation at the door requesting donations to support this great cause. As always, you are not required to donate...but we hope you do :). 80% of funds raised will be donated to the Avon Breast Cancer Foundation, and the remaining 20% will be applied towards Meetup expenses. We will post the results of our Fundraising efforts on our website in the 'About Us' section.

For those that haven't been to one of our Happy Hours before, there will be greeters at the top of the stairs after you enter. You'll be greeted with a warm hello, and provided a nametag. We've found that wearing nametags creates a warm and friendly environment, and you'll be amazed at the kindness and friendliness of this group. Plus, we'll be running an ice-breaker activity to facilitate the 'meetup'. So don't be afraid to come alone, as you'll make friends right away!

If you've never been to Pasha before, this is a beautiful venue. Located in Dupont Circle, Pasha is a sleek, modern lounge with a great vibe. It's very spacious, and we will have the ENTIRE venue all to ourselves.

Pasha is near the intersection of 21st and P, and is walking distance from the Dupont Metro Stop (red line).

P.S. IMPORTANT NOTE: Bring cash with you for the bar. There's a $25 minimum for using a credit card, so unless you plan to open a $25+ bar tab, you'll need to pay cash.
