Mark your calendar! The South World Wine Society along with the Chilean Consulate and Vancouver Hospital Intensive Care Unit are hosting a Wine Tasting & Silent Auction, on Thursday, November 16, 2006.

Come and sample an array of amazing wines from Chile and British Columbia. Complimented by some scrumptious appetizers. Bid on a variety of silent auction items from custom made jewelry, decorative arts, gift baskets, entertainment and sporting event tickets, getaways, and much more. This is a grazing event, so feel free to wander around to the different tables, sampling Chilean and BC wine, locally produced food, and bidding on great auction items! All proceeds will go to support the following two very worthwhile causes.

Intensive Care Unit
As you know, the ICU is the most expensive unit in the hospital to operate. Although a large portion of tax dollars go to funding our health care system, it's not enough to keep the ICU at the forefront of medical technology. The ICU's ability to provide the highest possible patient care depends on generous contributions from individuals and companies such as yours.

Fundacion Origen
This innovative school in Chile educates impoverished, at-risk adolescents by combining traditional academic curricula with real-world agricultural work experience. As youths develop personally and academically, families are also involved which stabilizes their community and improves area living standards. Your generous contribution will enable more children to receive training and to realize a better future.
