Charity Auction and Mini-Convention June 16, 2007

The Avenger is joining with the Van Houten Foundation to present a one-day charity fundraising event. Join us for an afternoon of games, activities, food and a charity auction featuring several pieces of memorabilia autographed by celebrities of sports, television, and film. Proceeds from this event will go to benefit the Van Houten Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We hope you'll join us to take part in this worthwhile cause.

There will be a wide variety of items available for interested people to bid on. Just a few examples include:

- Sports Memorabilia from the Yankees and Mets, including a 2002 season autographed Yankees baseball
- Autographed Star Trek scripts, including a script from the series “Enterprise” signed by John Billingsley (Dr. Phlox), along with a photo, and a letter from John, and a script from “Deep Space Nine” autographed by Armin Shimerman and Kitty Swink.
- Autographed photos of Kate Mulgrew, Patrick Stewart, Gates McFadden, Scott Bakula, and Armin Shimerman, and James Doohan
- T-shirts and promotional items from the WWE
- Signed scripts from the TV series “Newhart”, “Hill Street Blues”, and “King of the Hill”
- Autographed books by Jane Fonda and Dr. Phil
