CFF 2nd Annual Fashion Scholarship Benefit March 4, 2009

WHAT: Calling all Chicago Fashionistas! Get an exclusive sneak peek into the future of fashion at the Chicago Fashion Foundation’s Second Annual CFF Scholarship Event from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 hosted by Macy’s on State Street, Yelp.com and Award Winning Little Black Dress Wines.

Each contestant’s ensemble has been inspired by the event’s theme ‘Fashion in the White City: A Tribute to the Chicago World’s Fair.’ The ensembles will be judged by some of Chicago’s elite fashion contributors and editors including Andres Schwartz from Macy’s, Beth Wilson from Women’s Wear Daily, Designer Diego Rocha, Marissa Conrad from CS Magazine and Abby Yemm from Chicagopicks.com. The winner selected will receive a $5,000 fashion design scholarship.

This cocktail event will feature two hours of silent auction perusal, passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails from Award Winning Little Black Dress Wines. Also, gift bags will be given out to the first 150 guests! Tickets for the event are $25 for students and CFF members, $35 for non-members and can be purchased online or at the door. Chicago Fashion Foundation (CFF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides academic scholarships to Chicago-area college students majoring in fashion related studies and coordinates educational programs for the Chicago fashion community. CFF's goal is to maintain and develop the fashion industry in Chicago through an annual scholarship competition, yearly fundraiser, continuous professional networking events, and mentoring programs. CFF is comprised of professionals and students who are dedicated to developing and retaining local fashion talent in order to raise the caliber of the Chicago fashion industry.
