Ceremony of Cellos October 24, 2010

Dan Reiter, principal cello of the Oakland East Bay Symphony, will lead an assemblage of prominent Bay Area cellists in a soulful exploration of the cello's expressive powers in memory of celebrated cellist, Larry Granger. The cellists will perform music by William Byrd, Gesualdo da Venosa, David Popper, Emanuel Moor, Bach, Vivaldi, and Stravinsky. Soprano Alison Collins will solo in the Bachianas Brasileiras #5 by Villa-Lobos.
