Opening Reception Thursday December 15, 6-10pm

PRESS RELEASE —

Cultured Productions is proud to present, “Cement Shoes,” a solo exhibition of new works by Michael Rumore, (a.k.a. Loud1ne) featuring collaborative pieces with graffiti legends including: Atomic, KC, Garcia, JD, RF, Tone, the Look Out Crew and more. In this exhibition, Rumore presents a stunning selection from his Subway series, with representative pieces of his signature style of aerosol art. Highlighting this show is a piece of New York underground culture with a compilation of influential artists work on a set of decommissioned subway car doors.

Loud1ne’s artwork is loud and nostalgic. While other graffiti artists have turned to stencils and new waves in technology, Loud1ne has maintained the artistry of graffiti from the 80s; free hand, brightly colored, and loaded with hidden messages. While using common materials like spray paint, paint marker, and acrylic, Loud1ne also implements cement, subway memorabilia, and even medicine into his work. Loud1ne provides art enthusiasts with a piece of urban culture to bring in their home and hang on their walls.

Each graffiti artist has a unique style; just like Van Gogh, Vermeer, Rembrandt, Escher, and even Michaelangelo. The history of art has proven that artists have experimented with different mediums and found they could express themselves on canvas, on wood, on walls, in cement, and even on ceilings. Graffiti has become a part of our society and a constantly developing art form. Loud1ne has really set his position within this history and this exhibition will present work from some of the most influential street artists of this decade.

This exhibition is in honor of Irene “Rene” Rumore who recently passed from ovarian cancer. All artworks will be available for purchase and a percentage of proceeds will be donated to National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.

The Front Room Gallery is located at 147 Roebling Street in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Press contact: Nasa Hadizadeh 646-384-0196
