Celtic Heart Festival Concert June 19, 2009

MUSIC: - Iona Leigh will be performing a full set of original music from her recently released album 'Beside the Waves of Time', with tracks recently featured on BBC Radio 2. Iona will be performing with her tremendous trio on voice, harp, shruti box, guitar and fiddle.

EVENT: - This concert is part of the Irish Cultural Centre's Celtic Heart Festival, which is celebrating Celtic-inspired music in London. The evening will be filled with a wide variety of music featuring musicians from London, the UK, and further afield.

VENUE: - The Irish Cultural Centre has been established since 1995 and is acclaimed for providing one of the most exciting and adventurous weekly programmes in the UK, featuring Ireland’s best traditional and contemporary musicians, an Irish film programme, Irish literary events, Irish Theatre shows and art exhibitions.

DETAILS: - Tickets cost £6 (£5 concs) and you are welcome to pay at the door. The Bar/ Doors open at 7:30pm, and the music runs from 8pm - 11pm. This is a an adorable venue with an old fashioned bar, drinks and snacks served at seated round tables, with a great sound system and velvet curtains that frame the raised wooden stage.
