1077 East Montague Avenue
North Charelston, South Carolina 29405

Led by artists Arianne King Comer, Carol Bergin, Joseph Jones, and Peter Scala, this craft workshop is based on the techniques of batik, jewelry-making, and painting inspired by Celtic design. The affinity between the natural environments of Ireland’s peatlands and South Carolina’s indigo-growing areas will be presented. This workshop is a component of the first annual Festival of Ballycahill, an intimate festival of Irish arts, crafts, and culture that celebrates the unique connection between the green island on the edge of Europe and the ‘promised land’ of the Carolinas. Look for other inspired events such as an exhibition of Irish artists and photographers at Cork Bistro, featuring Irish food and music the week of March 14.
