The Getty Research Institute presents the films of artist Gordon Matta-Clark, best known for his deconstructions of abandoned buildings & his physical interventions into the urban landscape. The films provide a revealing glimpse into the artist's process, demonstrating his deep engagement with time-based work. Experience Matta-Clark's films in
both a traditional auditorium & in a setting uniquely attuned to his artistic practice - outdoor on the travertine arrival plaza. The screenings are followed by a conversation with special guests cinematographer Bob Fiore, Matta-Clark's widow Jane Crawford, & GRI Director Thomas Crow.
