Celliola and Friends September 20, 2009

Celliola, a contemporary cello/viola duo, regularly commissions and performs new duo and chamber repertoire. Members Cynthia Fogg (viola) and Tom Flaherty (composer/cellist) are joined in this recital by violinist Rachel Huang in Kodály’s Duo, Op. 7 for violin and cello. Also on the program are works by Lutoslawski, Bialosky and Pierce. In addition, the duo will premiere two works by Flaherty, one including additional performers Graydon Beeks (harpsichord), Julia Byl (mbira), Donna Di Grazia (alto), Eric Lindholm (cello) and William Peterson (organ).
