JR’s COMEDY CLUB hosts Celebrity Golf Classic
to benefit the Santa Clarita Homeless Shelter
Monday, May 23, 2011 at Robinson Ranch Golf Course
(A funny thing happens when you play a round of golf with a nationally known comedian)

JR’s Comedy Club in Valencia, CA steps up to the plate to help the homeless. The fun filled day of golf and laughs will be held on one of Southern California’s most respected golf courses – Robinson Ranch Golf Club. Each foursome will have a renowned comedian playing with their group. From the moment the golfers arrive at club, their day will be filled with a myriad of contests and activities. Lunch & dinner will be provided to all golfers! After a fantastic day on the greens, golfers can look forward to an eventful dinner, silent auction, entertainment, awards presentation and door prizes. To top off a great evening, the banquet will include stand up comedy by several of the comedians in attendance.

This is bound to be a most unique event! All money raised from this golf tournament will benefit the Santa Clarita Community Development Corporation, which operates the only Homeless Shelter in the Santa Clarita Valley! The plight of the homeless continues to be a challenge to all of us here in Santa Clarita. The number of men, women and children living in our valley without a home has grown consistently over the past several years. The Santa Clarita Community Development Corp. has been operating an Emergency Homeless shelter every winter since 1997. The Shelter provides three services: A safe and warm place to spend the night, three meals each day, and transitional support to assist each individual improve his or her situation.
