Northern California legislators Lynn Woolsey and Jared Huffman
to be honored at Sausalito event to benefit Pacific Environment

Pacific Environment, a San Francisco Bay area non-profit environmental organization, will host Celebrating our Ocean Heroes, a reception and fundraiser honoring the environmental advocacy of Northern California legislators, Lynn Woolsey and Jared Huffman.

Join us for an evening of food, wine, and inspiration as we pay tribute to these local environmental heroes Thursday, April 21st 6-8pm at Ondine, Sausalito’s legendary waterfront venue. Tickets are $35-50 and available by phone at 415-399-8850 x309 or securely online at www.pacificenvironment.org/oceanheroes.

Event proceeds will benefit Pacific Environment’s work addressing some of the most critical environmental issues facing the Pacific Rim including climate change, biodiversity protection, and freshwater and marine conservation.

Currently in her tenth term in the U.S. House of Representatives, Congresswoman Woolsey’s progressive leadership is notable for her dedication to protection of the Sonoma coastline from oil and gas drilling, and her ceaseless promotion of clean energy sources.

California Assemblyman Jared Huffman, Chairman of the State Committee on Water, Parks, and Wildlife, has been widely recognized for his tireless environmental efforts, most notably for spearheading measures that keep California’s waters clean, and for steps toward reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promotion of renewable energy.
