Celebrate FONZ's 50th Birthday April 12, 2008

Come to the Zoo on April 12 as Friends of the National Zoo celebrates 50 years of dedication to the National Zoo, of commitment to restoring an endangered world, and of simply being FONZ.

In honor of our birthday, we invite all of our valued friends -- new and longtime members, volunteers, visitors, neighbors, and everyone else -- to take part in the celebration.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Picnic Pavilion, we’ll have free cupcakes for the first 1,000 visitors, courtesy of Whole Foods Market, party games such as Flamingo Ring Toss, Bowling Armadillos, and Frog Fling, fun party hats to wear, and a giant birthday card where guests can write birthday wishes.

Throughout the Zoo, we'll hold animal demonstrations, feedings, trainings, and keeper talks between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
