For Celebrate Bisexuality Day (9/23/10) this year, which we are celebrating a little early as it falls between group meetings, we will be watching the movie "Zerophilia." This movie is a funny, gender-bending, bisexual romp that is also thought-provoking and deep.

"Writer-director Martin Curland has come up with a remarkably original story and strikes the perfect balance between comedy and emotion. The haunting soundtrack underscores the characters' emotional journey and the mystical aspect of the story. The film's message of self-acceptance, as well as social acceptance, of variations in gender and sexuality is most welcome. It also makes the point that there is not such a huge divide between male and female. And that being attracted to people of a different gender than you expected to be is not the end of the world, but can be an exciting exploration of identity, sexuality and possibility." Sheela Lampert

We will start at 7:30 PM, and the movie is an hour and a half, so there should be time for discussion afterwards.

The LOFT is behind the Methodist Church on Bryant Avenue, between North Street and Mamaroneck. If you are coming by bus, you could take the #5 or the #60, but the #5 lets you off MUCH closer. I am pretty
sure they both stop at the Transit Center at the train station. It is 252 Bryant Avenue, look for the Methodist Church. Once you are there, drive in and park in the back. Look for signs for the Roker Adult Day Care Center, and follow those until you see the door with the rainbow flag over it.
