For nearly half a century, piano master Cecil Taylor has been the standard-bearer for jazz at its most daring and innovative-from his formative mid-'50s trios to his great 1966 Unit Structures septet to the mammoth 40-piece orchestra he led here in SF for the 1995 Festival.
