FREE ADMISSION! The Columbus Blue Jackets begin preparations for their 11th National Hockey League season with the opening of training camp, in partnership with OhioHealth, on Friday, September 16. Players will report for physicals at McConnell Spine, Sport & Joint Center (3773 Olentangy River Road, Columbus) and fitness testing (Nationwide Arena) that day. Players will be available to the media at the conclusion of their workouts at Nationwide Arena between 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

The team will take the ice for the first time on Saturday, September 17 at the OhioHealth Ice Haus. All practices during training camp will be open to the public. There are 36 players expected to participate in this year's training camp. Also, a number of the 26 players currently participating in the Annual NHL Prospects Tournament in Traverse City, Michigan will also be taking part in the club's main camp and are listed on the enclosed roster.

Two of the first three days of camp will consist of all players being divided into two groups – Group A and Group B – with each day featuring on-ice practices and off-ice workouts. On Sunday, Sept. 18, players will be divided into four teams – Team McConnell, Team Crane, Team Wolfe and Team Pizzuti – and will compete in the annual Owners' Tournament. First round games will be played at 11 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. The consolation game is set for 12:45 p.m. on the Nationwide Arena ice, while the championship game is set for 1 p.m. in the OhioHealth Ice Haus.
