In celebration of B.C. Book & Magazine Week and the launch of Bill’s latest book, The Aunts Come Marching, a lovely sing-along children’s book, come meet one of the funniest guys to ever command a microphone.

His literary career started on CBC Radio with a serial called Bachelor Brothers’ Bed & Breakfast that was so popular, it morphed into a book series which won the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour in 1994. He has written an eclectic range of books including Waiting for Gertrude: A Graveyard Gothic, Scorned & Beloved: Dead of Winter Meetings with Canadian Eccentrics, Queen of all the Dustballs: And Other Epics of Everyday Life, After Hamelin (which won the prestigious Silver Birch Award), and more.

His new book The Aunts Come Marching is dedicated to music teachers everywhere. It’s beautifully illustrated by Cynthia Nugent and will delight children of all ages. Here’s your chance to spend an intimate evening with this charming writer, broadcaster and humourist as we talk about his huge range of works!

The CBC Radio Studio One Book Club is an intimate gathering of ONLY 120 contest winners. It is hosted by Sheryl MacKay of CBC Radio and John Burns of the Georgia Straight, and is recorded for broadcast on North by Northwest and other CBC Radio programs. Active audience participation is a key component of every CBC Radio Studio One Book Club, and your questions and observations are encouraged!

The only way to get in, is to win!
