Move over Rock in the Dell, make way for Roc in the Castle!

Last year, saw the very last Rock in the Dell at Chepstow, because of spiraling costs of putting on outside events. However, Cadw, have agreed to allow a similar event, in replacement of Rock in the Dell, to move inside Chepstow Castle. The main difference will be that the event will span over two evenings rather than just the one day, as the Castle is open to the public from 9am-6pm.

The dates have been confirmed for Saturday 23rd July and Sunday 24th July from 6.30pm-11pm. Local bands will take to the stage each evening with ‘Crazy Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers’ headlining the Saturday evening and AC/DC tribute band ‘Hells Bells’ headlining as the last band Sunday evening.

Tickets are limited and will be sold in advance, as the Castle will not hold as many as the Dell. So if anybody wants to get their hands on tickets they will need to be quick as word is already getting around and people are phoning asking if they can reserve tickets. But unfortunately as the Castle will only hold 700, tickets will be on a first come first served basis.
