A 2009 John Lennon Songwriting Competition FINALIST, Casey has been described as having "a gift for turning a phrase".

Casey grew up with a musical background in Herndon, VA and attended college at Virginia Tech where he had a steady gig every Tuesday night for three years. He experimented with songwriting and fell hard into the trap that is the greatness of Bob Dylan.

After college, the ‘real world' soon caught up with Casey and music took a back seat. Recently, after leaving a perfectly good company because he was unsure of what he wanted to do with his life, Casey wrote and recorded (in a matter of weeks) what became his debut album.

The songs had been cooped up inside Casey for years, and they fell out on to the paper. Most of the songs were recorded in one or two takes, and the album permeates with raw and honest energy.

Quickly receiving rave reviews, the CD has been called "Stunningly Good", "Upbeat and Propulsive", and "Breathes New Life into Stale Folk Genre".

Casey has rediscovered his music - and now plays the local Northern VA music scene at venues like Jammin Java, Iota's, Fireflies, and Vermilion, to name a few. He feels he has something to say in his songs, and wants to say them to whoever will listen.
