The Cascade Clay Artists group is a group of forty artists working in clay, each with a unique vision. For some members it is their profession and for others a part time avocation. Several are teachers. In studios from Snohomish County to the Canadian border they use porcelain, stoneware, earthenware and other clays in a stunning variety of methods to make functional pottery, sculptural works and tiles. Their firing techniques range from high fire reduction to midrange electric, and include raku, pit firing, and sagar firing.
