Carrie Mae Weems: Three Decades of Photography and Video September 24, 2012

This is the first major museum retrospective honoring photographer Carrie Mae Weems, "one of today's most eloquent and respected interpreters of the African American experience." Over 200 photographs, videos and installations from the past 30 years will be on display, all focused on race, class and gender issues.
