Carrickfergus Armed Forces Day 2012 June 30, 2012

Northern Ireland's flagship Armed Forces Day returns to the historic garrison town of Carrickfergus in County Antrim on Saturday 30 June 2012. Building on the success of the event in 2011 which attracted almost 40,000 people, we are planning a grand family day out featuring a wealth of military static and interactive displays and exhibitions from across the forces as well as a host of entertainment including 3 visiting naval vessels, tornado flypasts, gazelle and sea king helicopters, the Royal Irish Regiment's 'Harp and Crown' exhibition, parade, live music, children's entertainment including an inflatable cinema, facepainting, arts and crafts, tours of the town walls and historical re-enactment to name but a few!
