The Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts presents an evening of witty and humorous conversation with comedienne, TV writer and author Carol Leifer with KQED Forum's Michael Krasny, Thurs, March 11, 7pm. This evening's performance is presented within the Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts Comedy Connection Series and is a book event presented in association with Book Passage, of Corte Madera.

Emmy-nominated sit-com writer, accomplished stand-up comedienne, producer, Celebrity Apprentice contestant, vegan, animal rights activist, gay, Jewish mom, Carol joins KQED Forum's Michael Krasny to discuss her life, career and recent book. When You Lie About Your Age is a laugh-out-loud look at life, love and family. Books will be available for purchase at time of event. Conversation will be followed by audience Q & A and book signing. CAROL LEIFER is an accomplished stand-up comedian and an Emmy-winning writer and producer for her work on such television shows as Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show, Saturday Night Live and The Academy Awards. She has starred in several of her own comedy specials, which have aired on HBO, Showtime, and Comedy Central. Carol has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, the Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Tonight Show, The View, the Today show, Real Time with Bill Maher, National Public Radio, The Howard Stern Show, and Larry King Live, among many others, as well as creator and writer for the Ellen Show. Carol's first book, WHEN YOU LIE ABOUT YOUR AGE, THE TERRORISTS WIN, is a laugh-out-loud look at life, love and the aging process while tackling sexuality, religion and family with humor.

Her current projects include her upcoming participation in the 3rd Season of NBC's Celebrity Apprentice, as well as starring in the new CBS sitcom tentatively titled You and Me and He.
