Carnival of 5 Fires: PLF Presents "Visuals" (an art show) October 5, 2012

Coinciding with October First Fridays/ Cultured Art Walk, the Carnival of 5 Fires FREE Kick-off Show on 10/5 will be the grand opening of “PLF Presents 'Visuals' (an art show)” curated by Todd Raviotta and Mr. Galore of the Party Liberation Front (PLF). Visuals will be a showcase of PLF 2 and 3-dimensional artists, with concentration on paintings, drawings, prints, photography, video projections, sculpture, and mixed media. DJs and fire performers will blanket the street adjacent to the gallery as usual, and inside on the Gallery 5 stage will be “teaser” performances throughout the night of the Carnival’s cast of color characters to include Deanna Danger, The Muse, Deepa de Jour, and a closing music boogie down set with Richmond’s favorite James Brown cover band, The Big Payback! Vendors will line the downstairs gallery spaces with goods and wares, and don’t be surprised if you bump into a roaming & costumed performer along the Gallery 5 grounds, as all the circus freaks shall be out, adding to the Halloween Carnival atmosphere.
