Southwark Park, Jamaica Road
London, England SE16

The massive Charanga Habanera will top the bill on both days of Carnival de Cuba 2008 at Southwark Park on June 28th and 29th - and the legendary Ricardo Levya of Sur Caribe will be hosting one of the hottest line ups ever of any free festival

We've got a huge reggaeton line-up, including Papo Record and Leximan. We've got the Sugar Kings and La Cuba Ritmo along with Michelito and the great Sola Akinbola.

Dancers Guillermo Davis, Lazaro Lopez and Moe Flex plus DJs Jose Luis and Javier la Rosa complete the line up. There's free dance workshops, a massive Conga procession and free Conga drumming workshops by Drumheads.

Carnival de Cuba is also one of London's most kid-friendly events with free carnival face-painting, plus free kid's drumming and dance workshops - and fresh tropical smoothie bars, a baby-changing zone plus a funfair. We also have an exciting link-up with Glastonbury - and Santiago de Cuba carnival are our official partners along with Out of Africa.

Of course there'll be fresh, juicy Cuban cocktail and smoothie bars by Cubana bar-restaurant with Mojitos, Daiquiris and Cuba Libres prepared with Cuban rum, a Virgin Altlantic marquee, Cuban mountain coffee, Cuban, Latin and world food stands and loads of stalls.

This year we're at the south end of Southwark Park
