THURSDAY - MARCH 03RD

CARNIVAL LAUNCH PARTY with DJ Limão + LIVE: COLORS OF CARNIVAL
The first day of CARNIVAL starts with a BIG BANG… Tonight we party to the TRUE VIBE OF RIO & BAHIA CARNIVAL MADNESS, the two major carnival celebrations during Brazil’s Carnival season. With millions of people gathering on the streets jumping, singing and dancing, it’s impossible to resist. Plus, the fabulous DJ LIMÃO spins the best carnival tunes making everyone glow and smile. 9.30 capoeira.

FRIDAY - MARCH 04th
£10 all night (5PM – 2.30AM)

CARNIVAL LAUNCH PARTY with DJ Limão + LIVE: LSS
LONDON SCHOOL OF SAMBA, one of Europe’s top samba schools, open our 2nd day Carnival celebrations with a parade from 7PM, dazzling and bursting ear drums with their live Bateria, and will later perform on stage with 25+ amazing instrumentalists, making sure the music makes its way into all your pores. Then let the many SPARKLY SAMBA DANCERS help you sweat it out on the dance floor. Plus, guest DJ’S LIMÃO, D’VYZOR & TREVER BRAZIL spin the best Carnival, R’n’B and Latin House tunes to keep you rocking until the very end. 9.30 capoeira.

SATURDAY - MARCH 05th
£10 all night (5PM - 4AM)

BAL MASQUÉ with DJ’s THE BRAZILIAN KNIGHTS + LIVE: RITMOS DA CIDADE
Although the mighty Samba Parade is the most widely known feature of RIO CARNIVAL, it is the hundreds of local 'BALLS' that are the main attraction for many carioca (natives of Rio) insiders. These include plenty of impromptu parties that come and go but one that has stood the test of time - the BAL MASQUÉ. To make the most of the party, just wear a beautiful, mysterious, seductive and glitzy MASK. RITMOS DA CIDADE will be pounding out the grooves in serious carnival style with the most glamorous DANCERS allowed and DJ’S THE BRAZILIAN KNIGHTS will be spinning the latest and greatest carnival and party tunes. DRESS CODE: Wear a mask!! (FREE Masks will be available at Guanabara, don’t forget to grab yours!) Oh, and fancy dresses are also welcome, after all is a BAL MASQUÉ!! 9.30 capoeira.

SUNDAY - MARCH 06th

FORRÓNAVAL! With Zeu Azevedo and Forrodaki band LIVE
As a tradition in our carnival, tonight we dance to our very popular FORRÓ with a carnivalesque touch! ZEU AZEVEDO, FORRÓDAQUI BAND PLUS VERY SPECIAL GUESTS will carry on playing the traditional Forró and also invite some bad ass Brazilian percussionists to play a special carnival set. Be prepared for lots of FORRÓ and samba school style tunes. DJ’S ANDRÉ AND JIMMY JAM will be spinning traditional Forró and CARNIVAL TUNES throughout.

MONDAY - MARCH 07th

THE GUANABARA SOCIAL CLUB
Tonight we celebrate COUNTRY AND CARNIVAL, as we blend in the best of Rio de Janeiro into our Carnival madness. For the GRAND FINALE of our 6-day-carnival bash we bring you the TRADITIONAL STREET CARNIVAL and welcome you to dance and explore other rhythms beyond the samba school madness. DJ D.VYZOR will be spinning some inspiring BRAZILIAN OLD CARNIVAL CLASSICS (the so called ‘marchinhas de carnaval’) as well as some NEW STREET PARTY TUNES. Specially selected Carnival and Samba film showings will preview throughout the night across Guanabara’s 4 big screens.
