Carey West Celebrates Debut Release “Travel Light” Saturday May 10th May 10, 2008

Toronto performer Carey West celebrates her debut release “Travel Light” on May 10th at the Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen Street West). Tickets are $20 or $25 with the CD – advance purchase at careywest.com. Doors open at 9pm and Carey hits the stage at 10pm.

A much-celebrated Toronto fixture with over a decade fronting bands such as The Millionaires, The Liquidaires and The Jeremiahs, the enchanting story of Carey West continues with the release of “Travel Light”.

A collaboration with multi-instrumentalist Jeff Wilson (The Liquidaires, The Jeremiahs), the album reveals West's diverse musical influences, drawing on reggae, jazz, R&B, and folk to tell tales that hit close to the heart.
