Capturing Prehistoric Petroglyph's - 3 Mile Hike November 8, 2009

Are you intrigued with prehistoric cultures? Do you have an interest in petroglyphs? Do you find yourself drawing on the sides of your paper at work or school? If you responded with yes to all of the questions above than you would be very interested in this program. Join South Mountain Park rangers in a 3 mile hike, beginning at Buena Vista Lookout. Participants will hike a very beautiful section of South Mountain Park, learn more about the prehistoric Hohokam people and their petroglyphs, and have the opportunity to sketch and record beautiful petroglyph panels to bring home. Hike description: This hike is best suited for adults and children 13 and above. The hike will include rocky uphill and downhill sections. Meet at the Activity Complex parking lot.
