On January 8, 2011, Mark Kelly was preparing to command the final flight of Space Shuttle Endeavour when he learned that his wife, Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, had been terribly wounded in an assassination attempt. Kelly's dedication to family and Giffords' difficult road to recovery would captivate the nation. Personifying the best of the American spirit, Kelly is a homegrown hero who was a combat pilot in Iraq and astronaut on five space shuttle missions, and Giffords was an ascendant American leader, who pledges to one day return to public service. Captain Kelly will be joined by Gabrielle Giffords for a very special and memorable Richmond Forum exclusive.
Captain Kelly's presentation will be followed by an audience Q&A with Kelly and former Congresswoman Giffords.
