Please join us for CAPPAC's 21st Annual Fundraiser on Friday, October 2, 2009! This year, CAPPAC is allocating 50% of the net proceeds to our new initiative, "Growing Sacramento's LGBT Farm Team."

By attending or sponsoring, you'll be contributing to a great organization which has been committed to LGBT equality for over 20 years. You'll also see good friends and meet new ones in this beautiful venue.

COST: $100 per person in advance or at the door
Sponsorships are available at $2000 (Platinum), $1000 (Gold), and $800 (Silver).

Money raised at this event will be contributed to LGBT and LGBT-supportive candidates for office. In addition, fifty percent of the net proceeds will go to CAPPAC's new initiative, "Growing Sacramento's LGBT Farm Team."

WHAT IS CAPPAC?

CAPPAC is a non-partisan political action committee formed to promote the civil rights and ensure the equality of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people through the political process. CAPPAC focuses on California's capital region and on races and initiatives of statewide importance to the LGBT community.

PROGRAM:

5:45 – 6:15 pm: VIP Reception with invited local elected representatives for Platinum level sponsors

6:00 – 7:00 pm: Silent Auction & Hosted Bar w/Small Plates Dinner (music by the “Delta Trio”)

7:00 – 7:30 pm: Presentation of Awards

7:45 – 8:00 pm: Growing Sacramento's LGBT Farm Team

This year, CAPPAC is honoring:

** Leadership Award: Freddie Oakley - Yolo County Clerk Recorder

An early and outspoken advocate for marriage equality, who gained statewide attention for issuing Certificates of Inequality on Valentines Day 2007 to protest discrimination against LGBT couples and later officiated at the first gay marriage in Yolo County.

** Community Service Award: Paul Curtis

The Co-Founder and former President of the Capital City AlDS Fund, co-creator of the annual Sacramento AlDS Walk, past President of CARES (Center for AlDS Research, Education and Services), former Board member of Equality California and current appointee by the Sacramento Board of Supervisors to the Cordova Area Planning Advisory Council.
