THE CAPITAL HOME & REMODELING EXPO returns to the Dulles Expo Center this fall, offering homeowners a valuable one-stop shopping experience for the latest remodeling and decorating products and services. Whether it’s altering your style with new paint, artwork or furniture, improving an outdated space or tackling a large scale or minor renovation project, improving one’s home has never been more popular, especially in the greater Washington/Northern Virginia region. This three-day show provides the perfect opportunity to shop, compare, become inspired and gather great tips and advice.

Show hours are 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM on Friday, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 23, and 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, Sept. 24.

The Dulles Expo Center provides free on-site parking for visitors. The show offers a complimentary shuttle bus service providing rides to and from the North and South Halls and throughout the parking lots all three days.

Admission is $10 for adults; $3 for children ages 6 to 12; and free for kids 5 & under. The Best Ticket Deals are available on-line at www.HomeandRemodelingExpo.com, including a special two-for-one weekday offer. Tickets may also be purchased onsite at the box office during show hours.

• For those seeking helpful advice on décor trends, stylish products and local trends, check out the Décor Stage (South Hall) which offers workshops all three days. Design reporters Annie Groer and Jura Koncius (Washington Post Home section editors, washingtonpost.com's Home Front live online discussion moderators, Washington Post Radio guests), will offer lively and informative presentations covering a wide range of topics Saturday and Sunday.
• Check out the latest design trends and get expert advice at Suites of Distinctions (South Hall) presented by HOME & DESIGN Magazine. This exciting new space features two fully-decorated designer rooms offering unique and fashionable styles and products, as well as an interactive area -- “Ask the Design Experts” -- where homeowners can meet one-on-one and seek advice from top area design professionals about their next project.
• Bring your design plans, pictures and remodeling-related questions to booth #519 in the North Hall and “Ask the Remodeling Experts” from the Washington, D.C. metro chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI; www.narimetrodc.org) for free advice on their next home improvement project.
