You've waited all year, hoping it would come again. Well, you got what you asked for, Browncoats!

The Edmonton Browncoats present The Can't Stop the Serenity Screening
in support of Equality Now. That's right, Browncoats! Its that time of year again, time to show our support for the BDH, Joss Whedon, and especially the fine, hard-working folks at Equality Now.

A few points of interest...

Tickets: You can start buying your tickets for the event right now through PayPal, via the handy button at www.edmontoncsts.blogspot.com. You will notice that, although I've put the pre-sale price at $10, PayPal is charging you $11. Nothing nefarious there, I'm just trying to offset the PayPal fees a bit, so that Equality Now can get as much of your money as possible. Now, if you live in Edmonton or come into town on a regular basis, you will have the option of buying your tickets in advance at Happy Harbor Comics. Which will, of course, save you that dollar. And give you a chance to check out Happy Harbor, if you haven't all ready.

But with only a scant 210 seats* available, spending that extra dollar might not be such a bad price to pay to guarantee yourself a seat, hmm?

CSTS T-shirts: Pre-sales are over for the Can't Stop the Serenity t-shirts. If you didn't get a chance to order yours, that is a shame; these are beautiful shirts, as you can see here. But never say Captain Brent doesn't look out for you! We have ordered a small number of extras, which will go on sale at Happy Harbor just as soon as they reach this fair city of ours. When, you ask? Well, shipping companies have not been our friend of late, but we are expecting them to arrive in early June. Everyone say nice things to the Buddha, and that might even come true...

CSTS Posters: Yes, there will be posters all over the city regarding this event. But the posters I'm talking about right now are large format cinema posters, that look an awful lot like this. They measure 27"x40", and will look beautiful anywhere you care to hang them. We were supposed to have these already, but that rascally Unnamed Shipping Professional seems to have lost our order. I have been assured replacements, but I have no eta on those. I'll keep everyone posted, though, if not postered. Aha ha, ha, heh...*ahem*.

Door Prizes: I know, I know. You guys would all come just to watch the movie again and help out Equality Now. You're not interested in winning prizes, too...what? Oh, you are. Ah, well, it's a good thing I have some then, or this would be awkward.

This year all of the CSTS screenings have received awesome prize support from our global sponsors; please check out their links on the left. As well, I've lined up some pretty cool swag from local sponsors, like Happy Harbor Comics. What sort of stuff are we talking about? How about:

That's all for now, Browncoats! Keep checking back, as I'll have details for the After Screening Shindig very soon.

And hey! Lets stay shiny out there!
