'Can't Stop the Serenity' is an annual fundraiser event for Equality Now, timed in celebrating the June 23rd birthday of award-winning writer/producer/director Joss Whedon and his late, lamented television series, 'Firefly.' A great crowd of folks are expected to mingle, and enjoy screenings of both Whedon's 2005 movie, 'Serenity' and Whedon's mini-musical comedy, 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.' Fans will also be treated to a sneak preview of 'Browncoats: Redemption - A Fan Film for Charity,' which will be released in September 2010. Proceeds from the event will benefit Equality Now, an international women's rights advocacy group.

Please note: some of the details of this event are incorrect. Neither "Dr. Horrible" nor "Browncoats: Redemption" are on the schedule for this year. However, we do have some surprise programming that I hope you'll enjoy!
