Master can builders from 35 NYC firms have entered the 13th annual Canstruction design/build competition to benefit the Food Bank For New York City http://www.foodbanknyc.org/

exhibit open Monday-Saturday, 9am-5pm;
admission: one can of food

Created by the Society of Design Administration, CANstruction is a mind- and eye-boggling philanthropic competition made possible by New York City's design and construction community. Tens of thousands of cans of food are transformed by architectural design, engineering and construction companies into bigger-than-life statues, sculptures and other unCANny creations. The de-CANstruction of the structures results in over 100,000 cans and packages of food donated to the Food Bank for distribution to our network of community food programs citywide.
