Potential benefits for older adults with special needs including Alzheimer's and related dementia,
language and communication issues, and environmental concerns.

The role of various professional disciplines serving the older adult in an Animal Assisted Services program
and how to beter communicate with the various professionals.

An overview of older adult programs - diverse environments, needs and animal companions.

Participants will gain a better understanding of these programs, needs of the older adults and their families.
Participants will learn ways to better communicate with older adults living with Alzheimer's and related dementias.
Participants will learn how to crate a more comfortable environment for the animal assisted intervention.
